Lancaster Farmland Trust

Lancaster Farmland Trust’s mission is to preserve and steward the beautiful, productive farmland of Lancaster County that reflects our heritage, supports our economy, nurtures our health and enhances our quality of life. Twenty years ago, a small group of concerned citizens who cared deeply about their community came together to protect our beautiful landscape. They saw farmland disappearing and our unique culture and way of life being threatened by development.

Today, nearly 1,200 acres of farmland are lost to development every year. In the last two decades, Lancaster Farmland Trust has picked up the pace of preservation and worked to preserve over 350 farms and 21,500 acres of farmland in Lancaster County. But development pressures continue to bear down, and the waiting list for preservation continues to grow. Help us to ensure that our agricultural landscape is around for future generations to enjoy.

South East Lancaster Health Services

SouthEast Lancaster Health Services (SELHS) was formed in December 1980 as a result of a collaboration of two community health organizations. Our mission to provide primary medical and dental care and patient education to all members of our community has remained unchanged since that time. By providing a bi-lingual staff, we are able to assist in translation for many of our patients in an effort to reduce the language barrier. While our patients came to us from all over the region, the vast majority (97%) came from within Lancaster County.  In fact, last year SELHS provided services to patients from 67 of the County’s 79 zip codes. Our facility provides services to our patients on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income, eliminating lack of health insurance as a barrier to care.

Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center

As a nationally recognized pediatric facility, Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center provides family-centered education and therapy programs for infants, children and adolescents with disabilities, developmental delays and acquired injuries. Our goal-oriented approach maximizes each child's ability to function as independently as possible within the community.

Our Vision: to enrich and support the lives of children and adolescents as the community's premier provider of rehabilitation services.

United Disabilities Services

At UDS we help individuals with disabilities to fully integrate into all aspects of life and areas of our society. Our mission is to provide personal care and support services for people with disabilities including veterans and the elderly that enhance their independence and enrich their lives.
As part of our mission, we provide trained SERVICE DOGS to individuals with mobility impairments.  Living independently can at times be both difficult and lonely for individuals with disabilities and a UDS trained service dog helps improve quality of life for both owners and their families. These dogs truly change people's lives for the better, instilling confidence and facilitating social interaction.
